Palus Somni present all new material from 2020. “Rituals For Voice” is the 11th themed series from the duo, and for these six albums only vocal sounds are used as source material. Diverse methods involving speaking, screaming, moaning, gurgling, breathing, and singing are effected and combined. The end results are spacey and unsettling, with an underlying element of hypnotic mysticism. All proceeds will be donated to Black Lives Matter.

Palus Somni are back with their 10th series of full-moon collaborations. “Shadows Over Sand” was recorded 2017/2020, and completes the duo’s first cycle of 60 albums. The six releases presented here show the group revisiting harsh noise, with an emphasis on looming drone, repetition, “primitive”-style microphone feedback, and occasional bubbling synth swells. Traverse the shaded craters of a cold, distant moon. All proceeds will be donated to Black Lives Matter.

Lunatics rejoice: the third series from Palus Somni has landed! Recorded under the consecutive full moons of July - December 2013, Maria Lunae delivers twelve long-form improvisations of extreme electronics inspired by the “seas” - or dark spots - of the moon. This series marks a departure from the Earth-bound field recording manipulations of Mappa Sonnitus, and the heavy, meditative drones of Murus Luna Plena, focusing on sound sources of pure electronic input (no microphones were used in this series). The results are explosively dynamic, slipping between harsh cosmic blasts and austere, alien atmospheres, rewarding repeated deep listens. Only available on Bandcamp, for free streaming or cheap download. All proceeds go to ActBlue Community Bail Funds.
